International Science and Technology Organizations

We maintain close ties with organizations like the World Federation of Engineering Organizations, and we undertake the work of the China Secretariat for international organizations such as the World Federation of Scientific Workers. Moreover, we actively participate in relevant international cooperation. We actively leverage our enterprise advantages to undertake the operation of major international science and technology cooperation projects on behalf of the China Association for Science and Technology. We are responsible for organizing and conducting joint initiations and feasibility studies of related projects, implementing project processes, managing outcomes, and building capacity. We study the policies and regulations of various countries to provide personnel and financial support for the establishment of overseas international exchange representative offices by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST).

The 96th Executive Council meeting of the World Federation of Scientific Workers

From August 11 to 13, 2024, the 96th Executive Council meeting of the World Federation of Scientific Workers. As part of the 60th anniversary commemoration of the of the 1964 Beijing Science Symposium, the meeting embodies the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind. It has invited 31 representatives from 12 countries across four continents to attend. Among the Chinese expert representatives are Zhongxian Zhao, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Vice President of the World Federation of Scientific Workers (WFSW), along with Executive Council members Lan Xue and Xiqiu Han. The attending experts jointly explored frontier issues in the development of science and technology. During the meeting, an exhibition titled "Collaboration for Science - The Cooperation between the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and the World Federation of Scientific Workers (WFSW)" was held, along with symposiums on green and low-carbon development and the responsibilities of scientists. These activities have achieved significant outcomes in expanding global partnerships in science and technology, and enhancing openness, trust, and cooperation within the international scientific community.
